Yes, we have wifi out at the ranch – it’s a basic service mainly set up so you can check emails or send receive Whatsapp or Skype messages. It is NOT set up to stream programs like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. It is slow and you’ll just frustrate yourself by trying to stream anything. My recommendation is to download what you want to watch before coming out.

What we do have, if you are a movie fan, we have a great selection of DVD and BluRay films of a number of genres – to include a bunch of Westerns that were filmed in the Kern Valley area. Comedies, dramas, some classic horror (Universal Studio classics) – what we don’t have are zombie apocalyptic films or anything too scary because these would just freak you out watching these being alone in the boonies.

And since you are probably coming there to get away from it all, we have a load of reading material fiction, non-fiction and books about the surrounding area’s history and people. You won’t be bored.

Fully equipped kitchen: dish washer, coffee machine, blender, toaster, gas range and oven. You can cook up a decent meal with what we have here.

Electricity: Woo woo – we have electricity! This is a basic service from SCE, but during fire season – it will be shut off by the electric company. Never fear – we have a propane powered generator that kicks on automatically if or when this ever happens.
